BSc Dietetics courses would involve topics such as Biochemistry, Human Physiology, Pathology and Clinical Medicine. BSc Dietetics undergraduate will be taught on how consumption of food and dietary requirements can be altered by illness. Students will learn to treat diseases via applying therapeutic diets. In addition, students will acquire the knowledge and skills to react to the varied needs of patients, families and carers different settings.

 

Upon graduating, a registered dietitian would have a diverse range of exciting career opportunities to venture including: Food & Pharmaceutical Industry, Freelance Dietetics, Government and Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs), Media Conglomerates, Private and Public Health Care and Consultancy, Sport and Leisure Industry or Research and Academia sector.

There are currently no academic and professional courses for the training of dietitians in Singapore. However, there are a number of institutions in the world that offer outstanding Dietetic programmes acknowledged by Singapore Nutrition and Dietetics Association (SNDA).
