University of Twente is founded in 1961 as a technical school and it is the third higher vocational institute of technology to become a full-pledged university. Entrepreneurial spirit defines part of the University’s core values. They have also forged strong partnerships in a wide range of industries and societal domains such as Delft University of Technology, Eindhoven University of Technology, the Wageningen University and Research Centre under the umbrella of 4TU and the European Consortium of Innovative Universities (ECIU).
