Founded in 1857, the University has a traditional, residential campus in Fayette spanning 100 acre in a county ranked 26th “Best Places to Live” in the Midwest. In addition, the University has 25 off-campus educational centres across the country such as in Arizona, Illinois, Kansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma and Wisconsin.

The University is a recognised innovator in offering accredited programs through flexible, multiple delivery systems, including online and self-paced independent study. For instance, the University operates on two eight-week terms per semester, allowing students to take two classes per term.
